August 5, 1935 — April 18, 2017

Wendell Raymond Murray of East Haven, VT, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the age of 81.

Wendell was born in Clarksville, NH on August 5, 1935, son to Raymond Almond and Pearl Vera (Davis) Murray. He was raised and educated in South
Wheelock and then worked as a logger and farmer on the family farm.

Wendell was a kind soul that was larger than life.  He was a collector of clocks, cars and piggy banks. Wendell lived in South Wheelock on the family homestead for many years and he treasured the family reunions there as well as his birthdays where he loved being the center of attention. Wendell also enjoyed camping and boating and spending time with family and friends.

Wendell is survived by two brothers: Robert E. Murray and wife, Fran, of Whitefield, NH, and Chester Murray and wife, Marge, of Columbia, NJ; four sisters: Virginia M Locke and husband, Steve, of Bath, NH, Patricia Tanner and husband, Hayden, of Sutton, VT, Linda Langmaid and friend, Mike Bean, of Lyndonville, VT, and Sandra Goodwin of Troy, NH; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Wendell is also survived by his special care givers and second family Eric and Kerri Fillion and their children, Jena, Abby, Cannon and Gary and their families and a special niece and nephew Jennifer and Michael Sherburne of St Johnsbury, VT.

He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers: Larry and Roger Murray; two sisters: Elizabeth Ford and Gloria Murray; and a brother-in-law: Neil Goodwin.
