Wayne Smith

S. Wheelock, VT: On Sept. 15, 2024, Wayne C. Smith passed peacefully with family by his side where he had been on hospice at a caregiver’s home in Passumpsic.

Wayne was born on November 26, 1941, in St. Johnsbury, VT, son to the late Howard and Leah F. (Cox) Smith. He was a gentle, simple man with strong principles. He touched the lives of those who knew him.

Jacki was not just Wayne’s wife, but his soulmate and friend. Wayne could be found where he was most at peace, at his log cabin in the woods located in South Wheelock. The cabin that he and Jacki built and shared together for the following 24 years. They will both be deeply revered and sadly missed.
