Wayne Burton Muller, age 65, of Inwood Lane in Barnet, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation.
Wayne was born on June 28, 1952, in Hackensack, NJ to Herbert S. and Dorothy D. (Stevens) Muller. He began working as a busboy at age 12 and pumped gas and did factory work until in 1969, he quit school to join the Navy. He suffered a back injury but stayed in service to be honorably discharged in 1973. In civilian life, Wayne worked for Evergreen Air in Arizona, then as a troubleshooter for Continental Airlines in Newark, NJ, and finally as Operation Manager for General Aviation in Pennsylvania. He was a self-taught day trader and always did odd jobs here and there. He moved to Vermont in September of 2011.
Wayne is survived by his friends and neighbors, Sandy Brown and Ben Johnson, and their sons, Eric and Taylor Johnson.
Services are yet to be determined. Burial will take place in the spring at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, VT.
