Wanda G. Poor, 60, of St. Johnsbury, VT passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.
Wanda was born in Concord, VT on February 11, 1961 the daughter of Ethel Stuart and William Grey. She was raised in Kirby, VT and graduated from Concord High School. Wanda went to nursing school in Waterbury, VT and then went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree at Norwich University; an accomplishment she was very proud of.
Wanda worked for 35 years at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in several positions during that time. She also worked at the Pine’s Health and Rehab, Maple Lane Nursing Home and the Hardwick Health Center. Wanda had a mobile pet spa where she groomed dogs at their homes for about 10 years. Her Native American heritage made Wanda very proud. She was part of the Micmac tribe from New Brunswick, ME.
Survivors include her daughter, Holly Poor of Lyndonville, VT; seven of her eight siblings, Jennifer Fleming of Lyndonville, VT; Ronald Jones of St. Johnsbury, VT; Judy Wheelock (Max) of Woodbury, VT; Jacqueline “Jackie” Leigh (Jerry) of W. Danville; John Jones (Phyllis) of N. Concord; Rachel Storey (Stanley) of Calais, VT; Harold Lunnie (Denise) of Concord and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Joyce Walsh.
