Vivian May

Vivian M. (Woodward) May, age 72, of Cabot, VT, formerly of Marshfield, VT, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.

Vivian was born in Peacham, VT, on December 7, 1944, daughter to Lawrence and Hazel (Bradley) Woodward. She was raised and educated in Peacham. She was married on July 3, 1967 and shared 49 years with Albert C. May.  She spent her years keeping house and raising her children and later spending time with her grandchildren.

Vivian enjoyed playing cards, cooking, yard/lawn saling, and spending time with her husband and family. She was a member of the Marshfield Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband:  Albert C. May of Cabot, VT; a son:  Albert L. May and his wife Sarah of Marshfield, VT; a daughter:  Hazel H. May of Cabot; 3 grand-children: Alexis R. Lovely, Albert J. and Martha R. May; a brother:  Leonard Woodward and his wife Ruth of Danville, VT; 2 sisters:  Phyllis Burrington of Danville, VT, and Lucille Suridge of Passumpsic, VT; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents: Lawrence and Hazel Woodward; a brother and sister-in-law: Richard and Rita Woodward; a nephew: Anthony Burrington; a step-mother: Della; and a brother-in-law: George Suridge.

Friends may call on the family Tuesday, January 3, 2017, from 6-8pm at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer St., St. Johnsbury, VT.
