Tina M. Parris

February 7, 1965 — December 18, 2024

Tina Marie Parris (59) has decided to embark on her next great adventure on December 18, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a few “Did she really just say that?” moments.

A devoted wife to the late William A. Parris, Tina is survived by her children, Patrick L. Parris of Newport, VT, and Britny D. Parris of Barton, VT, who will forever remember her for her unyielding support and her infamous “mom for being a talker”. 😉

Tina was also the proud grandmother to three grandsons: Jaiden Parris and Patrick Parris Jr of Newport, VT, and Dylan Boskin, along with his sister Kamryn Wells, both of Barton, VT. Her grandkids were her world, and she was their biggest fan—though she often claimed they were plotting against her with all their cool gadgets and video games! They were her lifeline.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Tina leaves behind her sister, Toni J. Durfee-Ayala of Merrimac, MA; two brothers, Eric Cavanaugh of North Carolina and Antonino Burno of Essex, MA; and sister Barbara Carrapichano of Gloucester, MA. She is also survived by a colorful cast of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will cherish her memory and try to figure out how she managed to keep track of everyone’s birthdays!

Tina and her beloved husband, Billy, The Love of My Life” (and sometimes “The One Who Snags the Last Slice of Pizza”), met in 1996 and married in 1997. Their love story was full of travel, laughter, and occasional debates over who was driving for road trips. Billy left us on February 21, 2017, but we know he’s still shaking his head at her adventurous spirit from above.

While we are heartbroken by her departure, we are grateful for the countless moments of joy, generosity, and warmth she shared with us. Tina loved helping anyone in need and was always up for an adventure—especially if it involved a good meal and a questionable route.

Join us for a Celebration of Life in the Spring of 2025, where we will share stories, laughs, and maybe even a few of Tina’s famous recipes (with her secret ingredients, of course!). Relatives and friends are invited to come and honor her memory in the way she would have loved the most—surrounded by family, friends, and perhaps a little mischief.

Stay tuned for more details on this event; we promise it will be one for the books!
