Teal Charron Pontarelli

Teal C. Pontarelli, 62, of West Palm Beach, FL, a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend, passed away in West Palm Beach, FL on October 9, 2023.

Teal was born in Lyndonville, VT to Richard and Elizabeth Charron on December 11, 1960.

Teal graduated from Lyndon Institute in 1978 as an honor student and enjoyed playing clarinet in the L.I. band.

Teal moved to Florida and in 1981 met Vincent Pontarelli at the Winn Dixie in West Palm Beach where they were both working.  They married in 1982 and had one child together (Anthony).

Teal was extremely intelligent and talented and could light up a room with a smile.

Teal spent the majority of her working career at the Palm Beach Post and Evening Times (over forty years). Her capacity to help others with her endless sweet, kind and positive attitude was reflected in the many memories shared by her coworkers.  Everybody loved Teal.

Teal is survived by her husband Vincent and her son Anthony.

Teal also leaves behind brothers and sisters Deborah (Howard) Gilman, Keith “Buzz” (Deborah) Charron, Richard “Rich” (Beth) Charron, Troy (Aimee) Charron, and Tiffany (Philip) Taylor; nieces and nephews Stephanie (Marc) Charron, Charlie (Taylor) Taylor and Aaron (Meridyth) Gilman.

Teal also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, stepsisters and stepbrothers.

Teal was predeceased by her parents Richard and Elizabeth Charron and her nephew Eric Gilman.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Woodmont Cemetery in East Burke.
