Stephen W. Pasell

Stephen Warren Pasell, 75, of Sugar Hill, GA and more recently Winter Haven, FL, passed away peacefully in Sugar Hill, November 21, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Pasell; sister, Janet Pasell Underwood. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Jean; son, Scott and Samantha Pasell, Sugar Hill, GA; daughter Molly and Michael Weatherford, Sugar Hill, GA; grandchildren, Hailey and Tyler Weatherford, and Stephen and Bethany Pasell; brother, Alan and Deborah Pasell, Winter Haven, FL; sisters, Susan and David Beattie, Eliot, ME, Martha and James Ross, Moretown, VT, Judy and Barry Mueller, Paris, TX, Frances and Frank Martins, Buxton, ME; several nieces and nephews.

He graduated from UMass with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He spent many years in the textile industry, working in Maine, Vermont, Arizona, Tennessee, and Georgia. He also spent time working for the United States Postal Service. Stephen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed playing the French Horn in many community bands, singing in many choirs, wood working, traveling , playing cards, playing practical jokes, and a lifelong NY Yankee fan.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends on the day of the service from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside committal service for Stephen and Jean Pasell will be held at 11am on June 20, 2025 at Lyndon Center Cemetery in Lyndonville, VT with The Rev. Josh Abetti officiating.
