Sidney Patridge
June 19, 1936 — April 15, 2017
Sidney Allen Patridge of Concord Vermont died Saturday April 15, 2017, at the age of 80.
Sid was born in Kirby, Vermont, on June 19, 1936, the son of Warren Patridge and Cora (Stuart) Jones. He graduated from Lyndon Teachers College in preparation for a lifetime of teaching language and reading in Montpelier and Waterford Vermont schools.
Sid had many wonderful friends, because he was a wonderful friend to so many. As an avid gardener, he shared the harvest from his garden with friends and family every summer. He enjoyed playing cards and always had time for a game of cribbage; in the past a four-some game of cards was often played until late in the evening. Sid loved the outdoors and sportsmanship of hunting. He was a caring family member and neighbor who even cultivated close college friendships that lasted for over 60 years. Throughout his life he gave of himself through kindness, friendship, and quiet generosity.
