Sandra Mary Lillicrap-Willson, age 79, of Glenside Lane, passed away at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital surrounded by her beloved family, on Sunday, March 5, 2017.
Sandra was born on January 16, 1938, in Lancaster, NH, daughter to the late Cecil Everett and Dora Mae (Reed) Chase. She was raised and educated there graduating from Lancaster High School in the Class of 1956 and then went on to Business School in Georgia. Sandra married Fred Robert Lillicrap in 1957 and shared just 17 years when Fred died on December 19, 1974. She remarried Donald Oscar Willson many years later who passed in 2009. Sandra worked at Lyndon State College in maintenance and housekeeping for many years retiring in 2000. She loved her work there and was loved by many of the dorm students over the years. She was a long-time member of the Concord Community Church, and of the Order of Easter Star of which she was able to participate in the General Grand Chapter. She taught Sunday school, enjoyed gardening, reading, feeding her birds, taking care and spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she always looked forward to the get-togethers.
She is survived by her 6 daughters and 14 grandchildren: Heidi Flandez and husband, Claudio, and their son, Robert of Clearfield, UT, Tammy Brown and son, Jeffrey Brown and daughter Tosha Bean of Bloomfield, VT, Sonya Brown and husband, Edward, and their sons: Edward, Jr. and Corey, of Wheelock, VT, Cynthia Chamberlain and husband, James, and their children: Jessica May, Christina, Brooke, Britany Mary of St. Johnsbury, Center, Wendy O’Brien and sons: Adam, Justin Dopp and Michael O’Brien of St. Johnsbury, BobbiJo Bickford and her daughters: Desiree and Danielle Bickford of Lyndonville, VT(David Pendleton), 10 great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews: Brenda McCullough, Sheila Clark, Ronald Chase, James Chase, Michael Potter and her brother-in-law: Elmer Potter.
Sandra was also predeceased by her brother: Ronald Chase, her sister: Barbara J. Potter, sisters-in-law: Eleanor Chase, & Connie Carpenter and her nephews: Glen Stillings, Brian Potter, Cecil Potter and Wayne Hovey.
A final get-together in Sandra’s honor will be held at her home this Friday, March 10th. Family and friends will gather at Sandra’s home from 4-7PM at 132 Glenside Lane in North Concord. Please take some time to stop and visit and share a story and a smile for this wonderful lady.
A private interment will take place in the summer at the Concord Cemetery.
