Rosemary Bitcon formerly of 84 Overcliff Rd., St. Johnsbury, Vt. died at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab., on April 14th at the age of 97.
She was born in Hinckley, Me. July 29, 1919, the daughter of Rosalie (Moore) and Norman Hinckley, Sr.
She was a graduate of the Hinckley School, Hinckley, Me. and the Dental Assistants Training Institute in New York. She also attended Thomas Business College in Waterville, Me.
On moving to St. Johnsbury in 1962, she worked 20 years at Hovey’s Shops and 8 years at EHV Weidmann.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas Bitcon III and wife Madine of Woodland Park, Co. and Jeffrey Bitcon and Gail Devereaux of Lake Wales, Fl., former daughter-in-law Sharon Heidemann and husband Werner of St. Johnsbury, grandson Scott Bitcon of Denver, Co., and granddaughter Patricia and Larry Kaufmann of Shoreham Vt., two great granddaughters, a great great grandson and a great great granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her husband Douglas in 1997, a brother Norman Hinckley, sister Charlotte Hinckley and granddaughter Nicole Bitcon Thomas.
Services and burial will be in Maine at the convenience of the family. Should friends desire, contributions in Rosemary’s memory may be made to Kingdom Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 462, St. Johnsbury, Vt. 05819.
