Roger Roberts, age 69, of North Avenue, passed away at Burlington Hospital on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
Roger was born in St. Johnsbury on March 2, 1947, to Joel and Lillian (Scott) Roberts. He was raised and educated in St. Johnsbury. Roger was self-employed as a logger. He was an outdoor person enjoying hunting, fishing, working in the woods, and farming. Roger loved animals and riding the back roads.
He is survived by a son: Jeff Roberts of St. Johnsbury; 3 daughters: Jennifer Roberts of Whitefield, NH, Shelia McGee of Concord, NH, and Carolyn Roberts of FL; 5 brothers: Robert Roberts of Berlin, NH, Alan Roberts of Springfield, VT, Gilbert Roberts of St. Johnsbury, Eugene Roberts of Hoosick, NY, and Alden Roberts of MI; 3 sisters: Betty Roberts of Claremont, NH, Lemira Perry of Sutton, VT, and Alicia Kelly of NY; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents: Joel and Lillian Roberts; a brother: Joel Roberts, Jr.; and a sister: Annabelle Ricker.
