Rocklyn Dave Rivers

Rocklyn Dave Rivers, 70, of St. Johnsbury, VT passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his home.

Rocky was born in St. Johnsbury on March 1, 1953, to Theodore and Edith (Stuart) Rivers.  He attended St. Johnsbury Academy and the St. Johnsbury Trade School, graduating with the Class of 1972. Rocky worked for a short time at Ethan Allen in Orleans, but most of his working life, over 40 years, was spent as a Machinist at Fairbanks Scales. He also drove cars for dealerships.

For over 30 years, Rocky owned and loved his ’73 Chevy NOVA Super Sport muscle car and won many trophies with it.  He enjoyed rides on the backroads watching wildlife and time with his friends.  He loved all his Kittys – all named Kitty. 

Survivors include his sister: Penny Chamberland and husband Raymond of Lyndonville, VT; a nephew: Shawn Liberty and wife Amanda of Lyndonville; and two nieces: Erin Hartwell and husband Steve of Lyndonville and Lacie Noble and partner Wyatt Kurtgis of Danville, VT. 

Interment will be at St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery.
