Robert Lepine

Robert G. Lepine, age 81, of Pudding Hill Road in Sutton, passed away at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.Robert was born in Lyndon, VT, on January 15, 1935, son to the late Albert and Anais (Breault) Lepine.  He grew up in Lyndon and worked for the Canadian Pacific Railroad, as a dairy farmer, also for VT Tap & Dye and at Northeast Tool but finished his working career back as a dairy farmer.  After retiring from dairy farming, Bob's greatest enjoyment was raising Red Angus cattle, working his crop land, cutting timber, and working on his stone house all while being accompanied by his two dogs. And on the off days he enjoyed a trip into Lyndonville to find a parking space and catch up on small talk with whoever wanted to listen.

Robert is survived by two sons: Robert, Jr, (Ann Findlay) Lepine of Lyndonville and their children: Bobbie Jo Lepine of St. Johnsbury, Billie Jo Lepine of Lyndonville, and Rene Lepine of Tampa, FL, and his son Russell (Kristen) Lepine of West Tisbury, MA and their children: Felicity & Landon Lepine both of W. Tisbury, his brother-in-law: Stephen Morse (Barbara) of Ellijay, GA, 3 sisters-in-law: Marilyn Sackett (Dean) of Aiken, SC, Beverly Mayo of Lyndonville, Stephanie Grotz of Monterey, MA and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Janice Gay (Morse) in 2008 and by 3 siblings: Lucille Lizotte, Theresa Lowell and France Lepine and by a sister-in-law Nancy Simpson.

Calling hours will be held from 6-8PM on Friday, June 3, 2016, at the Guibord Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville.

Funeral Services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, June 4th at the Lyndon Center Cemetery with Rev. Barbara Dwyer officiating.
