Richard Alan Falconer, age 63, of Troy, passed away at the North Country Hospital in Newport Wednesday evening, October 12, 2016 surround by his family.
Richard was born in Newport on May 3, 1953, son to the late Raymond and Emily (Wormsley) Falconer. He began driving at the young age of 14 and continued to be a truck driver for all of his life. Most recently he worked for Ivan and Marlene Maxwell of Derby.
Richard was a simple man, he didn’t like things too complicated, he liked things short, sweet and to the point. He enjoyed spending time riding his Harley Davidson and at camp in Westfield.
Richard is survived by his three children: Brett Falconer (Blake Leighton) of Troy, Rhonda Mayhew (Stacey) of Newport Center, and Chad Falconer (Dawn) of Lowell; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by many siblings, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Richard’s life will take place on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Degree Auction Services located at 1571 VT-100 Westfield, VT. The family has asked that anyone with a motorcycle or truck meet at D & C Transportation in Orleans at 2 p.m. to ride in procession to the celebration.
