Rev. Stanley Young Sr

Rev. Stanley A. Young, Sr., age 62, of Cleveland, TN, passed away at the Tennova Health Care Center in Cleveland, Friday, November 6, 2015.
Stanley was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on August 21, 1953, son to the late Donald A. Young, Sr. and Clara (Persons) Young. He grew up in St. Johnsbury and went on to serve in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He married Lucienne Yvonne Therriault and shared several years together until her passing in 1987. Stan was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, St. Judes, the VFW, NHRA and supporter of the APSCA and the National Fish and Wildlife. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars and trucks as a mechanic and carpentry work. He had many skills and interests; he could even crochet delicate items.
He is survived by his son Stanley A. Young, Jr of Jericho, VT; brothers: Donald Young of St. Johnsbury, VT, Roger Young of Cleveland, TN, Robert Young Sr. of St. Johnsbury Center, VT and Rodney Young of Bradford, VT; sisters: Lois Young and Louise Young both of St. Johnsbury, VT.
A Graveside service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Concord Cemetery on Prospect Street in Concord, VT. Friends may call on the family for visitation from 10-12PM Thursday morning at the Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, VT.
