Reginald Simpson

Reginald W. Simpson, 76, of East Haven passed away at home on Monday, May 16, 2016 with his wife Rae at his side.

Reginald was born in East Haven, Vermont on January 10, 1940, the son of Frank and Mertie (Walters) Simpson.

Reginald worked at Kennametal in Lyndonville for many years before retiring in 2005.  He later went to work at The East Haven River School as a custodian until the school closed in 2012.  He loved working in the woods and the great outdoors, carpentry work and working with his hands, country music and going dancing at the dance halls.  He was a big John Wayne fan and loved watching western movies.  He liked playing cards, his Ford trucks, and the simple life.

He is survived by his wife Raylene ‘Rae’; his four children: Mark  Simpson and Meredith of East Burke, Jeffrey  Simpson and wife Mary of Lyndonville, Michael Simpson and wife Wendy of Barnet, Debra Webber of East Haven; Rae’s two children: Sean Tattersall and wife Erica of East Haven,  Amber Page and husband Robert of East Haven; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his mother-in-law Sharon Tattersall of East Haven; his father-in-law Raymond Tattersall, Sr. of East Haven; a brother Randy Simpson and wife Rochelle  of Concord; five sisters: Rosemarie Rouillard of Claremont, Ramona Robertson and husband Donald of Alabama, Rosealee Moulton and husband Harold of Lyndonville, Sandra Magoon and husband Robert of South Wheelock, Carmen Hamel of East Concord; cousins, nieces and nephews; Rae’s three brothers Raymond Tattersall, Jr., Ryan Tardiff, and Todd Hudson all of Lisbon, N.H.; and Rae’s sister Danielle Egli of Dalton, N.H.

Visiting hours will be held next Friday, May 27, from 6-8pm at the Guibord Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00am in the East Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Ann Hockridge officiating.
