Rebecca J. Squires

Rebecca J. Squires, 82, of Sheffield, passed away on March 14, 2025 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.

Born on April 18, 1942 to David and Pearl (Bickford) Dopp, Becky was raised and lived her entire life in the Northeast Kingdom. She spent her career in various roles at Maple Grove Farms of Vermont, where she worked for 54 years. She married Roger Squires and spent many years together before his passing on May 7, 1997. Becky will be remembered for her great love and devotion to her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with them. She will also be missed by her dog Bandit, a.k.a. Porkchop.

Becky is survived by her son Danny (Joan) Squires; brothers Lawrence (Donna) Dopp and Marvin Dopp; daughter-in-law Stephanie Squires; grandchildren Felicia (Jason Berry) Squires, Daniel (Ashley) Squires, Casey Squires, Courtney (Dale Smith) Bandy; and great-grandchildren Ryder & Raelynn Berry, Mason, Anika & Easton Squires, and Decan Cross. She was predeceased by her husband Roger Squires; son Jeff Squires; brothers Melvin and Bob Dopp; and sisters Beverly Paris, Clarabelle Conley, and Letha Thompson.

A celebration of life will be held on March 29 from 1-4pm at the American Legion Post 30, Lyndonville, VT. A graveside committal service will be held at Westlook Cemetery in Glover on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1pm.
