Raymond Leo LaBounty, III, age 29, of St. Mary’s Street in St. Johnsbury, VT died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Ray was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on October 29, 1987, son to Raymond LaBounty, Jr. and Sandra (Dunbar) LaBounty. He was raised and educated in St. Johnsbury graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy with the Class of 2006. He worked through high school and invested those earnings into a real estate business with his father. He worked at many things including swimming pool installation, handyman, and his latest job as an Operator at Pete & Gerry’s Egg Farm. He always had side jobs going with his dad and brothers.
Ray was a quiet guy and very motivated. He was always ready to help a friend. He and his brothers grew up watching Monday night WWE with their grandmother, something Ray enjoyed and continued. He spent a great deal of time with his grandparents. He grandfather, whose name he shared, was his superhero. With his gentle heart, he was a huge animal lover, especially his dogs, Zuka and Oakley.
He was a great brother and a beautiful son. Ray loved with his whole heart.
Ray is survived by his mother: Sandra Lee LaBounty and Richard Lussier of Lyndonville, VT; his father: Raymond and Catherine LaBounty, Jr. of St. Johnsbury; 3 brothers: Richard LaBounty, Ross LaBounty, and Jake Demers all of St. Johnsbury; 2 sisters: Kaeleigh Demers of St. Johnsbury, and Kelsea Demers of Bath, NH; his grandparents: Leah Couture LaBounty of N. Danville, VT, and Glen and Virginia Randall of Groton, VT; his girlfriend: Kimber Gladding; his aunts and uncles including Stacey and David Welch, Janice and Ray Couture, Mark Dunbar, Jeff Dunbar, Durwood and Inda Dunbar, Lee and Lisa LaBounty, James and Myrtie Alexander, Beaulah and Jim Nickels, and Lorrie and Andrew Biancardi; his many cousins including Justina, Jenna, Derrick, Dustin, Michael, Jeremy, Lindsey, Philip, Kyle, Kevin, Kirk, Darren, Jimmy, Keith, Jim, and Alexandria; and many other family and friends.
He is predeceased by his grandparents: Raymond LaBounty, Sr. and Richard and Justine Stewart; and a cousin: Dylan Dunbar.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 1-3PM and 6-8PM at Sayles Funeral Home on Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, VT.
Funeral Services officiated by the Rev. Kirk Thompson and the Rev. Elisa Lucozzi will be Monday, September 4, 2017 at 11AM at Grace United Methodist Church in St. Johnsbury, VT. Burial will follow immediately at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a potluck reception at the church following burial.
