Peter Lavoie II, 22, of Concord, affectionately known as 'RePete', died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Saturday, March 5, 2016.
Born in Bristol, Connecticut on July 1, 1993, Peter was an auto mechanic through and through and was employed at L&T Auto on the East St. Johnsbury Rd. He was a fun-loving and caring young man. He loved going out mudding, fishing, working on cars, hunting and, most of all, spending time with his son Kaiden.
He is survived by his fiancAC.e Ashley Nelson and their nine and half month old son Kaiden Lavoie; his mother Lena McCarty and his step-father Everett McCarty of Concord, his father Peter D. Lavoie, his fiancAC.e Emily Blodgett and her daughter Ariana of North Haverhill N.H.; his step-mother Maria Whitehead of North Haverhill N.H.; his maternal grandfather Henry Card and Jennifer of Seymour Ct., paternal grandmother Frances Lavoie of Littleton N.H., paternal grandfather Leo Lavoie of Bethlehem N.H.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Mark Lavoie of North Haverhill N.H.; Lester Warzocha and Ryan of Connecticut, Alyssa McCarty of Cabot, Emilie Whitehead and Joe of Woodsville N.H., Amber Foran and husband Larry of Torrington Ct., Cory McCarty and Savanah of Bethlehem N.H., Richard Lavoie and wife Tammy of St. Johnsbury, Ryan Angel of Woodleaf N.C.; all his 'best friends', aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was very close to his maternal grandmother, Lena Card, who passed in 2005.
Visiting hours will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home this Saturday, March 12 from 1-4 p.m.
Graveside services and burial will be on Thursday, May 5 at 11 a.m at the Riverside Cemetery on the South Lunenburg Rd. in Lunenburg. Anyone wishing to attend would be welcome.
Youth hunting, and the teaching of the etiquette of hunting, were important to Peter. Memorial contributions could be directed to the 'GMCC Endowment Fund' (Green Mountain Conservation Camp), Vermont Fish and Wildlife Dep't, 1 National Dr. (Davis 2), Montpelier VT 05602-3702. This fund supports youth education seminars conducted throughout the year at Buck Lake in Woodbury.
