Pauline Harpin

St. Johnsbury, VT: Pauline Della (Emerson) Harpin, age 79, of Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, VT, passed away on February 1, 2018, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.

Pauline was born on February 4, 1938 in Craftsbury, VT, daughter to Ralph and Eva (Richards) Emerson.  She grew up on farms in Greensboro Bend and Craftsbury.  She collected everything cats including stuffed animals, collectibles, and anything cat related. She enjoyed crosswords and word searches and liked watching fireworks.

Pauline is survived by two sons: Welcome R. Degreenia and Paul Harpin, both of St. Johnsbury, VT; one daughter: Cynthia Mason of St. Johnsbury; 6 grandchildren: Terry Mason, Jr, Welcome Mason, Megan Mason, Margaret Corkins, Sabrina Barry, and Tiffany Glodgett; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; Bruce J. Harpin in 2009; a son: Samuel Degreenia; and two sisters: Evelyn Hodgedon and Helen Donna.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018, 6-8pm at Sayles Funeral Home on Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, VT.

Services and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
