Patricia Colbeth

St. Johnsbury, VT: Patricia A. Colbeth, age 74, of Memorial Drive, passed away at her home, Thursday, December 14, 2017, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Patty was born in Concord, VT, on September 19, 1943, daughter to Maurice Bouchard and the late Simone (Choiniere) Bouchard.  She was raised and educated in Concord graduating from Concord High School.   She went on to graduate from Champlain College and worked for an architectural firm in Burlington as secretary.  While she was back visiting family over a weekend she met George on a blind date and that started a series of dates which led to their wedding on July 8, 1972.  They moved to Brattleboro, VT in 1972 for work where Patty worked initially for the phone company and then found an executive secretarial position at the local bank.  When the family moved back to St. Johnsbury in 1985, she became the executive secretary for Weidmann Systems International for the next 25 years.  Outside of her dedication to work, Patty enjoyed gardening and being with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, George A. Colbeth, her son: Todd Colbeth, both of St. Johnsbury, her father: Maurice Bouchard and his wife, Pauline, of Lewiston, ME.  She was predeceased by her sister: Janet Bouchard earlier this year.

A Graveside Service will be scheduled for 2PM Friday, June 15, 2018, at the St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery. There will be no Calling Hours at this time.
