Obituary: Nancy Jean Remick Magoon
Danville, VT, Nancy Jean Remick Magoon, age 74 of Grandview Drive. Passed peacefully at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, Monday Evening, June 24, 2024, after a recent decline.
Nancy grew up in North Danville Village. She developed a love for horses early and it continued throughout her years as she owned several. She loved showing her horses at shows, a love she instilled in her daughters who also own and owned horses. Nancy earned her CDL and started a career with the State of VT, Nancy was one of Vermont’s first female truck drivers, upon retirement after many years of service, Nancy pursued another love of hers, gardening. Nancy took care of gardens for clients, family and fellow residents at Grandview. Nancy also had a deep love for animals especially her own pets, she enjoyed going to camp for runs and outside time with her beloved dog Ceaser. She also loved her morning coffee with her mom where they would talk and look at social media of the family, enjoying stories and photos of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth "Betty "Remick of Danville, her four children: Tim Magoon (Pam Haynes) of Waterford, Bob Magoon (Alice) of Walden, Anita Magoon Suker (John Towle) of St. Johnsbury, Robin Jenkins (Blake) of St. Johnsbury. Their father: Robert Magoon of Wheelock, her siblings: Larry Remick (Yanita) of Greenville, NC, Mark Remick(Diane) of Danville. Eight grandchildren: Morgan Boulanger(Jordan) Mackenzie Magoon( Fiancé Brett Strout), Matt Magoon (Karen), Corey Magoon, Daniel Bailey, Zachary Larrabee(Betty), Delani Beattie(Jake), Kyleigh Phelps. Nine great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Eugene in 2015 and her Brother Paul Remick in 2023.
Friends May call on the Family from 6-8pm Monday evening July 1, 2024, at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at the Moose Lodge in St. Johnsbury, Vt. Burial will be private.
