Nancy Lew of West Burke and St. Johnsbury passed away peacefully Oct. 27, 2015 at the age of 84. She had resided at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab Center for the past six years.
She was born in Buffalo, New York on May 27, 1931, the daughter of Eugene and Frances (Schadler) Rumbarger. Her husband John predeceased her on March 25, 1975.
Professionally Nancy was a registered nurse working for many years in the Buffalo area. After retiring and coming to Vermont, she became a Jehovah Witness in Lyndon.
She is survived by son John Lew and Cheryl Lewis of New York, New York, daughter Janice Lew of Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter Joyce Glanzberg and husband Allen of Wellington, Florida, son Robert Lew and wife Phyllis of Escondido, California, daughter Jeanne Phillips and husband David of Tonawanda, New York; grandchildren Aaron Glanzberg, Heather and Sarah Lew, Paige and Bryce Phillips; great-grandchild Hannah Glanzberg; a brother Eugene Rumbarger of Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, sister Carol Williams of West Burke; nieces and nephews.
The family will observe their services privately with burial at Acacia Park Cemetery in North Tonawanda, New York.
