Marylene passed on September 25, 2017 in the comfort of her home with her husband and two daughters by her side.
Marylene Ruby Frye Sevigny was born in Danville on September 14, 1936 to George and Ramona (Hutchins) Frye. She attended a one room schoolhouse in Harvey’s Hollow and graduated as Valedictorian in the class of 1954. Following graduation she worked in the office of Northern Auto in St. Johnsbury.
On May 18, 1956 she married her soulmate Walter Sevigny, Jr. They raised two daughters Susan and Kathy at their home on Hill Street.
Marylene worked in the office at Danville High School for 16 years taking early retirement and becoming more active in her church serving on the Christian Services Committee for many years and Women’s Fellowship. She became a volunteer at the Open Door when it opened and truly enjoyed serving the people.
Marylene is survived by her husband of 61 years, Walter and her daughters Susan Deuso of Hyde Park and Kathy (Stanley) Linkovich of West Danville. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ryan (Rhonda) Conover, Cynthia (Matthew) Doherty, Ashley Deuso (Brett Werner), William Linkovich (Mandy Violette) and Allison Linkovich; and great-grandchildren: Dylan, Destiny and Anthony Conover and Ada Reynolds. She is also survived by brothers Berton and William Frye and a sister Georgianna Page.
She was predeceased by her parents, a brother John Frye and a sister Louise Hale, as well as two son-in-laws, Bryan Deuso and Patrick Cray.

Friends may call upon the family on Monday, October 2 from 6-9pm at the Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street, St. Johnsbury, VT.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 2pm at the Danville Congregational Church with the Rev. Douglas Carter officiating. Interment will be at the Danville Green Cemetery.
