Mark Young of Concord passed away early Friday morning, May 27, 2016 at the age of 58.
He was born in St. Johnsbury on Dec. 22, 1957, the son of Earl Wayne and Patricia Ann Hale Young (Powers). He graduated from Concord High School.
Mark’s was last employed as a machine operator and stitcher at Genfoot in Littleton until becoming disabled in 2009. The job that he most talked about and enjoyed was working seasonally as groundskeeper and sexton at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Johnsbury where he worked for 13 years. He will be fondly remembered as a very caring, kind-hearted person. He enjoyed outdoor activities like hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his partner Lori Ann Miller; his two sons Mark A. Young Jr. and Nathan Young; step children Tayna Noyes, Bernie Noyes, Virginia Troutt, James Wright, Krystal Ann Murray-Brown, Aurora Lane Brown; grandchildren Sophie, Samantha, Robert, and Lucas; siblings Raymond, Gary, Gay, and Bonnie.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home on Friday, June 3 from 4-6 p.m concluding with a prayer service led by Pastor Rick Menard beginning at 5:45 p.m.
