Marjorie Reed

Marjorie Reed, 88, of Lyndonville died at home after a period of declining health on October 19, 2023.  She was born in Peacham to the late Rodney and Lucinda Astle.  She was a graduate of Lyndon Institute.

On September 1, 1957, she married the late Paul E. Reed and they celebrated over 50 years together.

Paul and Marjorie owned and operated Caledonia Fuel Co. for many years, after they sold the business, she worked for French and Bean and Aja Catering as a bookkeeper.

Marjorie enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren,  she enjoyed a close circle of friends.  Marjorie was an excellent seamstress and cook, she enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by daughter Jennifer Reed Clark (Peter) of Rye Beach NH and Naples FL, son Tom, grandson Paul and granddaughter Bess all of Lyndon Center, sisters Helen Astle of Portsmouth, NH and Rachel Wozniak of Portland, OR and brother-in-law Robert Derrickson of Windham, NH. 

She was predeceased by Paul and her siblings Ralph, Scott, Steven and Marilyn.

Marjorie requested no services be held.
