Marjorie L. Burrington, 92, of Lyndonville died on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation in Lyndonville, VT from a period of declining health.
Marjorie was born on August 15, 1926, in Orford, NH to the late Fred and Lillian (Spencer) Baker. She grew up in Plymouth, NH. She graduated from Plymouth High School. She then took several nursing courses. She married Dean Burrington in 1946 in Plymouth NH. She worked in a Mica Mill during WWII in New Hampshire. She enjoyed being a farmer wife. Gardening, sugar making, cooking, especially making donuts for maple syrup, flowers, horse pulling. She also enjoyed singing and music, watching fiddling contests, traveled with Dean across country, through Redwood country and California.
Survivors include, her 6 children: Sylvia Langmaid and husband Stanley of Lyndonville, Louis Burrington of Wilmot, NH, David Burrington of Newark, VT, Shirley Langmaid and husband Dennis of Lyndonville, VT, Donald Burrington of Lyndonville, VT, Sarah Peer and husband Howard of Lyndonville, VT, 12 grandchildren: Valery Rodriguez, Aaron Langmaid, Tammy Langmaid, Meredith Burrington, Nathaniel Burrington, Matthew Burrington, Amanda Pratt, Kristina Roy, Celia Thurber, Andrew Peer, Crystal Merrick, Evan Peer and 10 great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Dean in 2000, both of her parents, and a sister Virginia Mae Baker.
Visiting Hours to be on from 5-7PM, Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville, VT.
Services will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, February 23rd at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
