Linwood Merchant

Linwood G. “Peanut” Merchant, age 77, of Page Road, formerly of Passumpsic, died on Friday February 9, 2018, at his home following a period of failing health.

Linwood was born in Bellows Falls, VT, on December 12, 1940, son to the late Wilson and Geraldine (Gray) Merchant. He enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, playing cards, crocheting and knitting.  He made many quilts, and afghans and was always liked his gardens where he could grow anything.

He leaves behind a sister, Evelyn (Alan) Thompson of Lyndonville, a niece, Elizabeth (Randy) McClure and two great nephews, Joshua and Nicholas McClure.

He was predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers, Lawrence, Donald and Kenneth Merchant.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time.  Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery in Barnet at a later date.
