Kaylea Jean Schartner Allenbaugh, 33, previously of Lyndonville, VT, Arnold, MD and most recently of Franklin Park, NJ, passed away on September 21, 2024, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Through her death, she was able to give life to four people through organ donation. For that, she is forever our hero.
Kaylea was born on July 20, 1991, in St. Johnsbury, VT to Brian Schartner and Kimberly (Noel) Noyes. She graduated from Broadneck Senior High, Annapolis, MD in 2009. She graduated from Graham Webb International Hair Academy in 2011. She met the love of her life, Justin Allenbaugh in 2010 and they married in 2017 in a beautiful ceremony on Burke Mountain. In 2019, they welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Harper Brian. She was a stay-at-home mom to Harper and loved every minute of it.
Kaylea was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend to many people from Vermont to Maryland. Her entire world was her daughter who she did everything with. She grew up in Lyndonville and started playing hockey with LAYHA. In 2004 the family moved to Maryland where she played for Benfield Ice Vipers and Navy Youth Hockey. While in high school, she cheered for the Broadneck Bruins and Top-Flight Cheer team where she met her best friend for life, Lindsey Gibson. She was one that would wear her sweatpants and Crocs but carry her Betsy Johnson purse for her bling. She loved crafting and doing makeup with Harper. She always made the family our Christmas morning pajamas every year that we would wear all day. Makeup from Sephora was her favorite Christmas gift. Every time she would come to Vermont, or we went to NJ, we would have to bring her packs of Vermont Beef Jerky and Humpty Dumpty BBQ Chips. Her and her Gramma loved to watch Bravo shows and then talk about how ridiculous they were. She was always the life of the party wherever she went. She loved to send bad dad jokes to Herman, pretty much on a daily basis. Every year around her birthday, Justin, Kaylea and Harper would spend an extended vacation at the beach with Justin’s family, which she always looked forward to. When visiting Susan in Maryland, Justin, Kaylea and Harper frequently enjoyed visiting the American Legion so Harper could participate in the children’s activities. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her warm heart and her infectious smile. It was definitely one that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Justin, daughter Harper and her fur baby Waffles; Her mother, Kimberly Noyes and stepfather Herman Noyes III of Concord, VT; Brother Brandon Noyes (Shyane), nephews Andrew and Lucas of Danville, VT; Maternal Grandparents, Maurice and Sharon Noel of Lyndonville, VT; Mother-in-Law Susan Allenbaugh of Severna Park, MD; Many Aunts and Uncles: Adam Noel of Crofton, MD, Dennis Morgan (Elly) of Rutland, Lori Davis of West Burke, VT, Paul Schartner Jr (Stephanie) of Lyndonville, VT, Jerry Schartner Sr. (Joyce) of Lyndonville, VT, Lisa Call (Robert) of St. Johnsbury, VT and numerous cousins in both her mother & fathers family.
She is predeceased by her father Brian Schartner, Paternal Grandparents Paul and June Schartner, and Uncle Scott Davis.
