June Elice Schartner, age 73, of Calendar Brook Road passed away at her home surrounded by her beloved family early Wednesday morning May 11, 2016.

June was born in Holden, MA, on October 18, 1942, daughter to the late Lillian (Gendron) Hamm. June was raised and educated in Princeton, MA graduating from Clinton High School. She married Paul Stephen Schartner in 1966 and shared 50 years together living in Vermont.   She was a nurses’ aide at the Clinton Hospital in MA and Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim, CA, a waitress for the Rustic (currently the Miss Lyndonville) Diner and as a chambermaid at the Changing Seasons Motel, but her main job was as a homemaker raising her children.

In addition to her husband, Paul S. Schartner, Sr., of Burke, she is survived by 5 children,  a son: Dennis Morgan (Eleanor) of Bradford, VT and their children: Jessica Eynon (Jeremy), Dennis Jr. (Kat Bergman), a daughter: Lori Davis (Scott) of Burke and their children: Laura Mason (Shane) , Scott Jr. (Amber), Megan Price (Joe), a son: Paul Schartner, Jr (Stephanie) of Lyndonville and their children: Danielle Brigham (Lance), Paul S., III (Amanda Simpson), a son: Gerald “Jerry” Schartner (Joyce) of Lyndonville and their children: Gerald, Jr. (Brittany), Matthew (Dayna), a daughter: Lisa Call (Robert) of Burke and their children: Jeff Call (Miranda), Joshua Call (Ayanna), and also a granddaughter: Kaylea Jean Schartner (Justin) of NJ, a sister: Juliette Catman, 15 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way and several nieces and nephews.

June was predeceased by her son: Brian Schartner and 4 siblings: Robert Hamm, William Hamm, Barbara Hamm, Lee DiBennidetto and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Church in Lyndonville.  There will be no public calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
