Jon D. Hayes of St. Johnsbury passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the age of 45.
He was born in St. Johnsbury on March 16, 1970, the third son born to C. Richard and Marie Jeanne (Robillard) Hayes. Jon graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in 1988.
Jon had a history of heart disease since suffering a heart attack in 2004. He had previously worked as a heavy equipment operator at Calkins crushing plant in Lyndonville and for Vances (VanCon) in Danville.
He is survived by his son Tyler Hayes and his girlfriend Becca Saben; companion Carol Alexander; two brothers: Richard Hayes and James Hayes; former wife Jody Sylvain; Aunt Maureen Robillard; Uncle Robert St. Jean; cousins, nieces and nephews.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home this Sunday, April 19 from 2-4 p.m.
He will be interred at his parent's plot at Mt. Calvary Cemetery later this spring.
