Jerry Paul Allen

Jerry P. Allen, 56, a lifelong resident of the Northeast Kingdom, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2024 at his home in St. Johnsbury.

Jerry was born on August 18, 1968 in Newport, VT to Neal and Bertha (Conley) Allen. He received an Associates Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from Springfield College, although his primary work was as a skilled roofer. He was dedicated and hard-working, not letting injury keep him from doing his job. Outside of work, Jerry was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He will be remembered most, however, for the love he showed to his family. 

Jerry is survived by his son, Joseph M. (Christal) Allen; siblings Carol (Martin) Downing, Neal Allen, Jr., Rodney Allen, Roland (Charlda) Allen, and Paula Nutting; grandchildren Kodie, Temperance, and Gideon Allen; as well as Ethan Broome & Eric Broome and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents as well as his siblings Calvin Allen, Everett Allen, Robert Allen, Linda Toomey, and Mattie Hale.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at a later date.
