Jeffrey Roger Squires

  Wheelock, VT: Jeffrey R. Squires, age 51, of Chesley Hill Road passed at his home unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

            Jeff was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on July 1, 1972, son to Rebecca Jean (Dopp) and the late Roger Basil Squires who passed in 1997.  He was raised and educated in Wheelock and graduated from Lyndon Institute with the Class of 1991.  He worked for Twin States Siteworks as construction foreman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and doing anything outdoors. Jeff’s best friend and sidekick, his dog Merlin, went everywhere with him.

            He is survived by his mother: Rebecca Squires of Wheelock, 2 daughters: Casey Squires and her son, Decan Jeffrey Squires, of Wheelock,  daughter: Courtney Bandy (Dale Smith) of Lyndonville, their mother: Stephanie Squires of Danville, his brother: Dan D. Squires (Joan) of Sutton and their children: Felicia Squires (Jason Berry) of Lyndonville, Dan W. Squires (Ashley) of Washington, D.C., great-nieces & nephews: Ryder, Raelyn, Mason, Anika and Easton.

            Friends may call on the family from 5-7PM on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville. 

            A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will take place from 2-5PM Saturday January 20^th at the Lyndonville VFW on Hill Street.

            A Graveside Service will be held at 1PM on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Westlook Cemetery, RT 16 in Glover, VT.
