Janice Martin

Janice Maria Martin, age 82, of Concord, VT, formerly of Monroe, NH, passed away on June 17, 2017, at The Pines Rehabilitation and Health Center from complications due to dementia.
Janice was born in Medford, MA, on May 29, 1935, daughter to Joseph and Dorothy (Tighe) Hughes. She was raised in Brookline, MA and after some college classes, she began work as an office manager. She married David Paul Martin in 1961. In 1999, she moved to Concord, VT, after 28 years in Monroe, NH. Janice was an avid swimmer and loved animals.
Janice is survived by her husband: David P. Martin of Concord, VT; two children: David W. Martin and wife, Robin, of Greenville, SC, and Jacqueline M. Carolan and husband, Robert, of Nashua, NH; 4 grandchildren: Katherine, Anastasia, Madeline, and William; and her beloved dog, Angel.
She was predeceased by her brother: Charles J. Hughes; and her sister: Katherine Gloria Crum.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in St. Johnsbury, VT, on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 11am. Fr. Curtis Miller will officiate.
Burial will be on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 3 pm at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, NH.
