Jane R. Flood

Jane R. Flood, aged 80, passed on December 14, 2024, at the Ocala Regional Hospital in Ocala FL. Born on March 19, 1944, to Bill and Marion Magill, she spent her childhood on the family farm in West Burke, VT.

Jane married Reg Chayer, and they were blessed with two sons, William (Bill) and Roger. After their divorce in 1969, she found love again and married Terry Flood in 1972. Together, they shared a fulfilling life. Terry had two sons, Jeffery and Terry II, from a previous marriage. Jane and Terry treasured their boys and their two dogs, a cocker spaniel named Sally, and a Boston Terrier named Sadie.

Jane is predeceased by her parents, Bill and Marion, her husband, Terry, and her sister, Jean Magill Gilman. She is survived by her sons Bill (with wife Diana), Roger and partner (Bill), and Terry (with wife Brenda), along with her grandchildren Joe, Brandon, Morgan, Mitchell, and Andy. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren JT, Jamie, and Miley, and her sister Susan Simpson.

Jane's warmth and smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had a love for horse pulling, enjoyed leisurely car rides, and cherished her phone visits. Known for keeping everything around her neat and spiffy, Jane was a beacon of kindness and care.

Jane's spirit of joy, her caring nature, and her beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11am at the Woodmont Cemetery in East Burke.
