Jacqueline A. Williams, 93, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lyndonville, VT.
Jacqueline was the only child of the late Harold and Alice (Chiquette) Laferty. She was born March 31, 1925 in Montpelier, Vt. and attended local schools graduating from Montpelier High School with the Class of 1943. Before she was married, Jacqueline worked at the National Life Insurance Company in Montpelier. On November 16, 1947, she married Thomas Williams, Jr. who predeceased her on December 19, 2000.
Before the Emblem Club was disbanded, she held the office of president as well as other offices. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish attending St. John the Evangelist Church in St. Johnsbury. Jacqueline was a homemaker and devoted her time to her family.
Survivors include three sons: Donald and wife, Lorraine, of Waterford, Vt., Gerald and wife, Sara, of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Michael and wife, Evelyn, of Tampa, Fl.; five grandchildren: Thomas and Jeremy Williams, Anita Williger, Stefanie Williams, and Michelle Luttmann; and five great-grandchildren.
Jacqueline was predeceased by her husband of 53 years: Thomas Williams, Jr.; and her parents: Harold and Alice Laferty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11AM, Friday, February 22, 2019 at St. John’s Church on Winter Street in St. Johnsbury, VT. Burial will be in the spring on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 12PM at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on St. Johns Street in St. Johnsbury.
