Jacob Isham

May 25, 1987 — October 24, 2017

In loving memory of Jacob David Isham, age 30, who passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at his residence.

Jake was born May 25, 1987 in St. Johnsbury, VT.  He was raised and educated in Lyndonville attending Lyndon Institute.  He worked as a machinist for various manufacturing companies, always doing any job with passion. He loved having bonfires with family and friends, camping, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He enjoyed going to hunting camp and being out with his dad.  He was a big fan of family gatherings.

Jake will be sadly missed by many people who thought of him as a brother and a friend.  He was known for his infectious laugh and untamed adventurous spirit. Jake loved everyone and was there for those who needed him for advice and support.  He was a very caring person who would do anything for anybody who asked.  He lived by the music he heard and will always be remembered for all the extraordinary things he did for others.  Jake was a father to two young men, a great son, and a great friend to have; he will never be forgotten and will live in all our hearts forever until we meet again.

He is survived by his sons: Jason and Isaac and their mother; Jake’s mother: Judy (Densmore) Isham (Ron Bouchard) of Lyndonville, VT; his father: Jeffrey Isham (Susan) of West Newbury, VT; his sister: Jessica Smith of Lyndonville; 3 step-brothers: Maxwell Wiehe of Rutland, VT, Samuel Wiehe of Burlington, VT, and Benjamin Wiehe deployed in Kosovo; maternal grandmother: Carlene Briggs (Robert) of Lyndonville; paternal grandmother: Joan R. Isham of St. Johnsbury, VT;  and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation to meet family and share stories will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 3-5PM at Guibord Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville. Services, officiated by Rev. Barbara Dwyer, will follow at 5pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be private at Lyndon Center Cemetery.
