Harold Kimball, age 96, passed away September 20, 2016 at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare in Burlington, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Barnet, VT on May 6, 1920, to the late Charles and Elsie (Parker) Kimball. After graduating from Mclndoes Academy, he worked with his grandfather as a painter. During World War II he was employed at Vermont Tap and Die in Lyndonville, and on July 23, 1943, he married Wilma Miles. In 1945 they bought Rowe Brothers store in Barnet village, in partnership with Wilma's parents, operating as Kimball and Miles.

Harold was an active member of the Barnet Congregational Church and was involved in the community. Retiring in 1981, he and Wilma began spending winters in Tucson, Arizona and
summers at their cottage on Lake Seymour. In 2005 they moved to Burlington.

Harold was predeceased by his wife Wilma in 2010 following 66 years together. He is survived by his daughters: Brenda Frazer (Mark) of Burlington, Patsy Leavitt (Thomas) of Jay, Jill Moore (Douglas) of Tucson, Arizona; eight grandchildren: Kim O'Neill (Brendan), Kate Stowell (Justin), Jared Leavitt (Anna), Brock Leavitt (Kerry), Blake Leavitt (Anne), Cory Gaffney, Cody Gaffney, Riley Gaffney; five great grandchildren: Lily O'Neill, Luke Stowell, Jude Leavitt, Mirabelle and Eleanor Leavitt.

Memorial Services will be held at 1PM on Saturday October 1, 2016, at the Barnet Congregational Church with the Rev. Sally Chamberlain officiating.  Burial will take place at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Barnet.  There will be no calling hours.
