Gunnar Madori Hale
Gunnar Hale, twenty month old son of Daniel and Lea Hale, of Westford died unexpectedly Saturday morning, July 16. He was born in Burlington on November 17, 2014.
Gunnar loved being outside throwing rocks, catching frogs, watching the birds, taking walks with his parents and being with his family. Lea will treasure every day spent home with Gunnar. He had the most beautiful blond curls and the biggest blue eyes you ever saw. Gunnar’s charisma was infectious; he was a real character and had a sense of humor way beyond his age.
He is survived by his mom and dad, their extended families, and the many friends whose support will continue to be invaluable.
Funeral services will be held in St. Johnsbury this Friday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church with Fr. Bernard Gaudreau officiating. The family has asked Mr. Thomas Lovett to participate in the service.
The family has made three suggestions to those who would care to honor Gunnar’s memory. Consider wearing happy colors to the service. Especially given Gunnar’s love of rocks, bring a rock (maybe with a message) to be placed in a basket next to the register book at the church. And/or, consider sending a contribution to S.I.D.S. Institute @www.sids.org (528 Raven Way, Naples FL 34110; please stipulate the contributions is in memory of Gunnar and to be used locally here in Vermont).
