At the present time, Gary volunteered at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital and was President of the Auxiliary.

He was a Ham radio operator and spent many hours on his radio. He was a member of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren and traveling to North Carolina, Maine, Florida and many other places to visit family and friends.
