Francis Cyr Vigeant

Francis Cyr Vigeant of Waterford, VT died on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT at the age of 82.  He was born in St. Johnsbury on December 31, 1939, the son of Jean Louis Vigeant and Florence Olive (Cyr) Vigeant.  Francis was a farmer all his life and worked for several local businesses.  He also worked for the Town of St. Johnsbury for 38 years.

He is survived by his long-time companion and friend: Shirlene Lathe of Waterford. He was predeceased by his parents, his grandparents: Alphonse and Marie Cyr, a brother: Joseph Louis Vigeant, and uncles: Alphonse Cyr and wife, Winnie, and Roland Cyr and wife, Betty, and aunt: Belle Cyr.

Francis will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and especially his help of other people when they needed it.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Fr. Lance Harlow on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Church in St. Johnsbury with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Johnsbury.
