Frank Horgan of Lyndonville, VT passed away at home early Monday morning, March 21, 2016 at the age of 74.
A retired Cambridge police officer, Frank was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Feb. 6, 1942, the son of Francis Sr. and Agnes (Naughton) Horgan. On May 28, 1966 he married Judith Anderson. Three of their four children survive him: their son Brett passed away in 2007.
After retiring from a career in law enforcement, he relocated with his family to Kingman, AZ where he worked for Hilton Hotels. He moved to Lyndonville, VT in 2009 with his wife when she was called to pastor two churches. He was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan. Gardening was his favorite form of relaxation where ever he lived. You could always count on Frank for a good story.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Rev. Judi, current pastor at the First Congregational Church of Lyndonville and East Burke Congregational Church; his son, Andrew (Renee), daughters Beth (Jeffrey) Jaco, and Allyson Horgan; grandsons Trevor, Brennan, and Liam; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Brett and sister Dorothea Harrison. A celebration of his life will be held at Lyndonville Congregational Church on Saturday April 2nd at 2 p.m. Longtime pastor and friend, the Rev. Roderick MacDonald, will officiate at the service.
