Florence Lamotte

Florence Eve Lamotte, age 43, of Avenue C in St. Johnsbury, VT, passed away at her home on November 6, 2017, surrounded by family and friends, after her battle with cancer.

Florence was born in Burlington, VT on June 17, 1974, daughter to Henry and Shirley (Lucas) Lamotte.  She was raised and educated in St. Johnsbury.  Florence enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family, and playing Hayday. She loved peanut butter cups, her dog, Coco, and having children around especially; her niece Isabelle Bacon. Florence was known to really enjoy talking on the phone.

She is survived by her companion of 16 years: Michael Trask of Saint Johnsbury, VT; 3 children: Justin Lamotte and his guardian, Connie Weed, and Jack and Elizabeth Willhoit and their adoptive parents, Sarah and Janssen Willhoit, all of St. Johnsbury, VT; her step-children: Melissa Trask of St. Johnsbury, VT and James Trask of CT; her mother: Shirley Lucas of Lyndonville, VT; a brother: Henry Lamotte and his companion, Kim Donaghy, of Lyndonville, VT; 3 sisters: Gladys Barnes and husband, Matthew, of Isle La Motte, VT, Louise Bacon and husband, Jonathan, of Sutton, VT, and Tina Richards and husband, Justin, of Concord, VT; an aunt: Cheryl Heath Warner of St. Johnsbury, VT; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

Florence was predeceased by her father: Henry Lee Lamotte; her uncle: Steven Heath; and her nephew: Robert Lamotte.

Visiting hours will be Friday, November 10, 2017, 2 – 5pm at Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer St. in St. Johnsbury, VT.  There will be no services.
