Evelyn J. Dudek, 102, of East Burke and formerly of Berlin, CT, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025 at her home.

Evelyn was born on April 20, 1922, in Worcester, MA to Harry and Emma (Retz) Robertson. She married Walter Dudek on June 17, 1941, sharing nearly 69 years together before his passing on June 1, 2010. In addition to her career as a Cafeteria Manager at schools in Berlin, CT, she also ran a bed and breakfast out of her home.

A woman of great faith, Evelyn served as a church trustee, treasurer, and choir member at the East Burke Congregational Church for many years. She was involved for many years in the Fall Festival and church Strawberry Festival. Outside of church, Evelyn was a member of the East Burke Quilters, enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking, sharing time with family and friends, and enjoying the peace and tranquility that the Northeast Kingdom offered.

Evelyn is survived by her children Joyce (Allan) Clark, Robert Dudek, and Susan Saulnier; grandchildren David, Christine, Nancy and Daniel; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter, and brothers Vernon (Gloria) Robertson and Stanley (Helen) Robertson.

Friends may call on the family on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4-6pm at Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Lyndonville, VT.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Evelyn’s name can be made to Caledonia Home Health & Hospice, Lyndon Rescue, the East Burke Fire Brigade, the American Cancer Society, and the East Burke Congregational Church.
