Eric Valadao

St. Johnsbury, VT: Eric James Valadao, age 38, of Railroad Street, died unexpectedly in his sleep at home July 11, 2023.

Eric was born on August 25, 1984, in Fall River, MA, son to H. Paul and Margaret (Duarte-Valadao) Kitchen. Eric grew up in Somerset, MA and went to school in Seekonk.   He lived there for many years and moved to St. Johnsbury in 2022 after having lived in Manchester, VT, previously for the past 3 years.

Eric loved to work and has been recently employed at Whites Market in St. Johnsbury where he was very much loved, and in Manchester he enjoyed working at McDonalds.  He liked going to the movies, bowling, was a big Scooby Doo fan and preferred being and doing anything outdoors.  Eric was very much looking forward to a long planned visit from his mom and daughter.

He is survived by his parents, Paul and Margaret Kitchen of Somerset, MA, his fiancée, Megan Mason, of St. Johnsbury, his daughter: Aaliyah Valadao, his brother: Steve Valadao, both of Somerset, his nephew: Bowen and cousin: Nancy Leite and many more cousins, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Eric’s life will be held from 2-4PM Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
