Elsie Sylvia Cady

Lyndonville, VT:  Elsie S. Cady, age 90, of Deer Run Lane passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a very brief illness on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her home.

Elsie was born in Granby VT on July 28, 1932, to Edward Calvin and Gladys Lillian (Tyler) Lund.  She grew up in Granby and worked at Glovers until her marriage to Clark R. Cady on June 27, 1958.  Elsie then became a homemaker for her husband and children.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, cleaning, yard work and spending time with her family.

Survivors include:  her husband of nearly 65 years, Clark Cady of Lyndonville, two children: Scott Cady and wife Lisa of Lyndonville, and Cindy Cady (Kristin) of St. Johnsbury; a grandchild:  Travis Cady (Amanda Montgomery); and a great-grandchild:  Deklan.  Also many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her 6 older siblings and their spouses:  Izola (John) Irwin, Helen (Eugene) Farmer, George (Hope) Lund, Henry Lund, Minnie (Marvin) Olson and Milton (Eleanor) Lund.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday June 24, 2023, at Lyndon Center Cemetery in Lyndonville, VT with Reverend Anne Hockridge officiating.  A reception will follow. 

There will be no calling hours.
