Elaine Nunn

Elaine Ellen (Hale) Nunn, 77, formerly of Passumpsic, VT passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born Feb. 7, 1940 to Clyde Hale and Blanche Gilbert Hale in Danville, VT.

Elaine was from a family of 14 children, and lived the last 26 years in the village of Passumpsic.  She loved doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, going out for a game of Bingo, and especially enjoyed playing cards with her sisters. Her favorite television shows were Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  She also loved her scratch off lottery tickets and a good cup of coffee.  Elaine worked in many of the areas shoe factories as well as private house cleaning.

She is survived by her sister Kay Shores of Lunenburg, VT and a special sister-in-law Betty Jewell Hale of Maiden, NC plus many nieces and nephews and their families who will miss her dearly.  She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Dayle Thomas, Madeline Paye, Winifred Smires, Gladys Fisher, Rachel Danforth, Lorraine Danforth; brothers Bernard Hale, Melvin Hale, Russell Hale, Walter Hale, Leonard Hale and Kenneth Hale.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held Sat., Oct 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Concord Cemetery, Concord, VT.  Donations may be made at charity of your choice.
