Doug attended St. Johnsbury Academy and graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1970. He furthered his education at Lyndon State College, graduating in 1974. Mr. Lavigne worked as a physical education teacher in St. Johnsbury schools until 2007; he continued working part time at Cal North and also as an After School Coordinator at West Burke. This year he had fully retired.
