Donna J. Dubray

St. Johnsbury, VT: Donna J. Dubray, age 80, of Deer Avenue, passed Sunday evening August 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by family following a brief illness.

Donna was born in Burlington, VT, on October 20, 1943, daughter to the late William and Ella (Rock) Payette. She grew up in East Burke attending White School and graduating from the Lyndon Institute in the Class of 1961. She retired from EHV Weidmann where she worked as a Group Leader. Donna loved spending time with her husband Peter, her children, grand and great-grandchildren. She loved and adored her dog, Loki, who brought her so much joy. Donna and Peter spent their winters in Floral City, FL. She enjoyed walking, bike riding, kayaking, gambling and traveling. She loved playing cards with her family as well as her many friends in Cabot and Floral City.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband of over 41 years, Peter, her son William P. Sargent (Pamela) of Springfield, VT, 3 daughters: Susan Hayes of Waterford, VT, Connie Lumbra (Dennis) of St. Johnsbury, Jean Marie Johnson (Brian) of Leominster, MA, step-son: Paul Dubray (Alain Lecloux) of Monte Rio, CA, step-daughter: Sara Strine (Bill) of Glendale, PA, her sister: June Mitchell (Leslie) of Lyndonville, VT, 8 grandchildren: Benjamin Lumbra, Morgan Lumbra Gallerani (Nick), Jordan Lumbra, Cameron Lumbra, Shelby Hayes (Connor Lalonde), Connor Hayes, Parker Johnson, Jayson Sargent, step-grandchildren: Amber Haberman (Monty), Kelsi Strine, great-grandchild: Theodore Gallerani, step-great-grandchildren: Logan, Piper & Owen.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers: William, Albert, Reg and Dennis Payette, her sisters: Agness Dickerman and Cappy Mitchell.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Woodmont Cemetery in East Burke, VT. There will be no Calling Hours. Light refreshments will be served at the Moose Club in St. Johnsbury following the graveside service.
